Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in mining communities remains a critical socio-economic and human rights challenge, intensified by transient labor populations, unequal power relations, substance abuse, and weak community protection systems. Mining environments often create high-risk settings where women, girls, and marginalized groups face elevated exposure to domestic violence, sexual exploitation, workplace harassment, and economic coercion. Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention in Mining Communities Training Course is designed to equip stakeholders with practical, evidence-based, and culturally responsive strategies to prevent, respond to, and mitigate GBV in mining-affected areas using a multi-sectoral approach.

The course integrates rights-based programming, survivor-centered approaches, community mobilization, gender-transformative strategies, and workplace safeguarding frameworks to strengthen resilience in mining communities.
